  • Precautions for AC resonance testing system and variable frequency power supply system

    1.Before using the variable frequency power supply, it is necessary to carefully read this manual, especially the requirements in the precautions must be strictly followed, otherwise it may damage the variable frequency cabinet.


    2. This equipment must be operated by professionals, and special attention should be paid to safety during use.


    3. Due to the fact that the working power supply of the variable frequency power supply is directly obtained from the 380V AC power supply, without isolation treatment, the two output terminals of the variable frequency power supply cannot be directly grounded or short circuited, otherwise some components in the variable frequency power supply conversion cabinet will be damaged.


    4. The leakage protector must be removed from the working power supply, otherwise the ground leakage current during the start-up of the variable frequency power supply device will cause the leakage protection switch to operate and lose power.


    5.During the series resonance test, the initial boost did not find the resonance point. Do not increase the output voltage of the frequency converter cabinet to a very high level, otherwise the voltage will quickly rise after being adjusted to the resonance point, making it difficult to grasp the boosting speed. Generally, after finding the resonance point at low voltage, the voltage is increased to the specified value. Suggest using the 'Fine tune' button.


    6.During the testing process, if the variable frequency power supply needs to work for a long time and the output voltage is low, it will cause an increase in transistor consumption in the amplification circuit. The output voltage must be maintained at no less than 300V. This problem can be solved by adjusting the transformation ratio of the excitation transformer.


    7. The load capacity of the frequency conversion cabinet must be within the range specified in the curve in Figure 32, and it is strictly prohibited to carry high current loads with low voltage. The lower part of the curve is the safe zone. Exceeding this area will increase the loss of the transistor, and in severe cases, it can cause damage to the transistor in the amplification circuit. When the curve is exceeded, working at the top of the curve, the output voltage and output current on the screen will flash to indicate. If the test continues, a trip signal will be emitted from the frequency conversion cabinet, and the screen will display "power curve protection". The control box will also emit a "beep beep" alarm sound.


    8.It must be emphasized that the output power of this variable frequency power supply is 450kW, not 450kVA, and it is strictly prohibited to carry pure capacitive or pure inductive loads. If pure reactive load is required, it is strictly prohibited to exceed 450kVA, otherwise it may cause excessive consumption of transistors in the amplification circuit and damage.


    9.After the experiment is completed, the voltage should be reduced to zero before turning it on.


    10. The working frequency of the frequency conversion cabinet is within the range of 20-300Hz. It is prohibited to use frequencies below 20Hz and above 300Hz.


    11.When the variable frequency power supply stops working, do not immediately touch the conductive parts of the variable frequency power supply. The charge on the capacitor components inside the variable frequency power cabinet will not be immediately released, which may endanger personal safety.


    12.Before overhauling the variable frequency power supply, please confirm that the charges of each capacitor component have been discharged.


    13.When protecting a variable frequency power supply, the power should be disconnected first, the hardware circuit and equipment should be checked, and the equipment and wiring should be confirmed to be correct before connecting the power supply. Start the variable frequency power supply without load, confirm that the equipment itself has no problems, and then continue the power on test.


    14. Disconnect the power and restart it after a ten second interval for the device to function properly.
